I just got an interview in NYC: help, tips, anything please!

Synopsis: I live in Pittsburgh, PA, just got an interview in NYC next Monday morning. They said dress to impress, bring to copies of my resume. Any advice on what exactly I should wear? Also, should I bring "fancy" copies of my resume or just 2 regular ones. What sort of questions should I expect and since they didn't mention reimbursement i assume I pay for flight and hotel. I'm REALLY excited and hope everything works out. Any tips/advice will be GREATLY appreciated.

Just wear your best suit and some nice shoes that match. You can bring resumes printed on heavy paper but I don't think it really matters since the interviewer always has a copy of your resume. For questions just look through the thousands of threads on here aout that topic or pick up a Vault guide.

Also, your plane ticket/hotel should be paid for by the bank, you'll probably need to call up their travel department and make arrangements.

Who's still recruiting this late?

first off.. just dont get overly anxious. enthusiasm is good but keep it in check. just dress smart and as for what type of paper the resume is printed on, i dont think that matters much. i would worry more on how you are preparing to discuss your resume. as stated above, look through the forum for the sorts of questions you might get asked. and goodluck

alright thanks, I'll call their travel dept. asap but also I don't have a vault guide or what not. They know I'm an upcoming sophomore who has no banking internship experience, but apparently they liked me over the phone. This is also a prestigious boutique bank that apparently needed an intern. But since they didn't mention paying for my flight, should I still try asking?

yeah, ask them about travel dept because that's messed up if they want to bankrupt already bankrupt college students.. and given that it is "prestigious"

go buy a vault guide - i'm sure if you go through the motions this early on, it'll prepare you come junior recruiting season. you have a week and that should be plenty of time to get the basics down

yury:
^thank you all once again. B/c I was seriously contemplating whether to stay in Jamaica queens for 280 a night (cheapest I could find).

Yea id check out hotels in jamaica, bedford-stuyvesant, or washington heights...all real cheap and all prestigious. Its your best bet.

it said I will be getting paid, so I'll call first thing tomorrow morning to see if they do cover costs, if not I'll check out latham, thanks. The bank is on Broadway, midtown Manhattan, so if anyone else knows of a decent/cheap hotel let me know.

there's a YMCA hostel up on the 102nd, I think. It's nearby Harlem, but it's in a well-lit and lively area -- and from what I remember, it's not nearly sa expensive.
