Rotational full time position vs. full time analyst position
I was hoping to hear some opinions on these two different jobs. I am being pursued for a full time job at a BB for a 4 year stint in their rotational ibanking program. It basically consists of a series of 6 month postings around the globe in major cities such as ny,chicago, zurich, london, etc. I am told that it pays very well, and that is quite an opportunity to gain exposure to all functional areas of the bank in addition to the investment banking division.
The question that arises, is how this type of role is viewed compared to the general full time 1st year financial analyst position in ny or elswhere? I would still function in an analyst capacity..just not with additional responsibility and travel, etc. (or so I am told, but I imagine this could mean extra busy work). Thoughts? opinons? I am very interested in the position, but i wondered if anyone is familiar with this type of role right out of school. I appreciate any helpful feedback, and no I do not mind the relocation every 6 months or the travel requirements, in fact I thrive in such an atmostphere.
Which bank does this?
Seriously, I have never heard of a bank doing this, let alone a BB
ive heard of 1 bank doing something like this, but it was by no means a BB...
like HSBC. Correct?
In fact it is not HSBC, but until very recently HSBC had a very similiar program. They encountered a lot of people turning down the offers due to the constant relocation demands of the job. So to answer your question..yes, like HSBC.
