Overview of the Role

The Firm is looking for an exceptional individual to serve as the Marketing Manager. They seek someone with extraordinary attention to detail and who has the ability to prioritize tasks in a manner that is most efficient for the firm with little to no oversight.  

Specific Responsibilities for the Position

  • Own and manage the Firm's website and external facing materials; the Marketing Manager will be responsible for brainstorming, writing, designing, and publishing external content through various channels including LinkedIn posts, blog posts, newsletters, LP quarterly updates, and more
  • Coordinate and drive engagement between the Firm digital media sources with integrated content between company website, LinkedIn, X, Medium, Substack, etc. while driving impressions through SEO
  • Directly develop PR outreach strategy and manage relationships with reporters, podcasts, and conference hosts; work with the Firm’s Special Assistant to coordinate and book for investment team
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all firm events including our annual meeting, webinars, conferences, and local meetups including the preparation and organization of materials for said events (such as marketing flyers, social media graphics, and RSVP landing pages)
  • Think outside the box to develop new marketing avenues such as a podcast, quarterly webinars, etc.  

Highly Qualified Candidates will Have the Following Background

  • 5+ years of professional marketing experience
  • Past experience working at a venture capital firm, defense startup, or at minimum strong familiarity with startups, venture capital, and government vernacular
  • Event coordination and management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrable by past experience writing blogs, articles, etc.
  • Capable of managing and organizing firm external relationships
  • Proficiency with Google and Microsoft applications as well as digital marketing systems (WordPress, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Figma, Medium, Substack)

Logistics

Compensation: $125-150K depending on experience, healthcare, PTO, and retirement plan

Location: Remote with travel for company events. West-coast preferred.
