Our Function

This position will support the Small/Mid-Cap Equity research team and be initially be responsible for covering multiple sectors in support of current team members.  Coverage will evolve depending upon interest and team needs.

Your Impact

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Research and recommend new stock ideas for inclusion in the portfolios
  • Advanced Financial Modeling – build and update financial models and valuation analyses, and develop price targets to drive buy and sell recommendations
  • Compile and maintain sector and macro data for analysis, and keep the overall team informed regarding key industry trends
  • Host management meetings both in the office and at industry conferences
  • Regularly read sell-side research and macro-economic research
  • Become a trusted resource to colleagues seeking current information on investment opportunities, including data and analysis, comparisons, and opinions of the broader research team

Your Required Skills

Your required skills must include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2-3 years experience
  • A demonstrated track record of academic and professional achievement.
  • Firm understanding and interest in financial markets, financial statements, and terminology
  • Demonstrated Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Advanced Financial Modeling skills; create and maintain financial models on individual companies
  • Interpret developments that may impact share price performance on a longer-term basis
  • Familiarity with investment-oriented databases and analytical software such as Bloomberg and FactSet experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with extremely strong attention to detail
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines, with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Demonstrates a high level of initiative; takes charge in the absence of detailed instructions
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

The base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $160,000Individual salaries for this role may vary based on various factors including but not limited to, years of experience, range in corporate level, candidate skills, and geographic location. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including but not limited to, individual and organizational performance.
